- 1X2
- A three‑outcome bet on whether the home team wins, the away team wins, or the match ends in a draw.
- Accumulator
- Similar to a parlay, a bet that links multiple selections and multiplies the odds together.
- Arbitrage
- Placing bets on all possible outcomes of an event across different bookmakers to guarantee a profit.
- Asian Handicap
- A bet that gives one team a virtual deficit (or surplus) of goals to remove the draw, creating two possible winning outcomes.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money you set aside for betting.
- Bet Builder
- A feature that lets you combine different markets from the same match into one custom bet.
- Both Teams to Score (BTTS)
- A bet on whether both sides will score at least one goal during the match.
- Cash Out
- A function that lets you settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Dutching
- Spreading your stake across several outcomes so that you earn the same profit regardless of which one wins.
- Edge
- The advantage a bettor has over the bookmaker, often shown as a percentage.
- Expected Value (EV)
- The average amount you can expect to win or lose per bet if the same situation repeats many times.
- Handicap
- A virtual advantage or disadvantage given to a team to make the odds more balanced.
- In‑play
- Bets placed after the match has started, with odds that update as the game progresses.
- Juice
- The commission that a bookmaker adds to the odds, also called vig.
- Kelly Criterion
- A formula that calculates the optimal size of a bet based on your advantage and the size of your bankroll.
- Live Betting
- The same as in‑play; betting on events while they are happening.
- Matched Betting
- Using free bets and promotions to create a risk‑free profit by covering all outcomes.
- Moneyline
- A straight bet on which team will win the match, with odds that reflect each team’s chance.
- Odds
- Numbers that show how much you can win relative to your stake and indicate the chance the outcome will happen.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals (or points) in a match will be higher or lower than a set number.
- Parlay
- A single bet that combines two or more selections; all must win for the bet to pay out.
- Spread
- A range set by the bookmaker within which the final score must fall for a bet to win.
- Stake
- The amount of money you wager on a single bet.
- Value Bet
- A bet where the odds offered are higher than the true chance of the outcome, giving you an expected advantage.
